Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to oversee safe and efficient operation of nitrogen plants at customer sites in the Northeast U.S. You will lead teams, train technicians, troubleshoot field issues, and interact with customers.

The role requires expertise in instrumentation, control, mechanical, and electrical maintenance, strong safety awareness, and excellent communication. Expect a dynamic schedule with on-site work at customer facilities and periodic travel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technical ed or relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong practical skills in production processes, plant equipment, and emergency procedures.
  • Expertise in instrumentation, control, mechanical, and electrical maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Strict safety mindset; follow procedures while troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining.
  • Clear verbal and written communication of technical information; read process schematics.
  • Proficient with computers, MS applications, and process control systems; strong time management.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will provide leadership and guidance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nitrogen producing plants at customer sites
  • And you will assist with and direct training and development of new technicians
  • Solve field site issues and operate air separation plants with minimal supervision
  • Interact with customers across various production plant types, offering guidance, support, and clear communication
  • Further, you will maintain safety, quality, and compliance activities at each plant location to uphold high standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on compressors, gas analyzers, and control systems
  • You will manage time effectively to complete operations, maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and diagnosing plant problems
  • Coordinate contractors and resources to support plant activities, audits, and administrative requirements while driving efficiency through strategic planning and project management

The salary range listed reflects the national range; final offer will depend on location and qualifications.
