Job summary

Divcon is seeking a Field PLC Engineer to develop, test, and support PLC-based control systems for large-scale data centers and critical infrastructure. The role is hands-on, client-facing, and requires collaboration with senior engineers, field teams, vendors, and clients.

You will program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs for HVAC, central plants, and building systems, while adhering to standards and documenting changes for turnover. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of PLC programming, controls engineering, or related experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–60% including extended site assignments.
• Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 or similar PLC platforms.
• Understanding of PLC logic, I/O, field devices, networks, and control system architectures.
• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete within initial weeks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify PLC programs for HVAC, central plant, and mechanical/electrical systems in data center environments.
• Configure PLC logic, tags, alarms, I/O structures, and system parameters per project requirements.
• Test PLC logic and validate system functionality prior to field deployment.
• Support field and commissioning teams during startup, troubleshooting, and validation.
