Lead, Field Applications (Fab Technology Engineering)

Job Description:

The Role:

Our site in Texas is seeking a Lead Fab Technology Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop strategic relationships and have focused interactions with multiple Entegris customers to identify and interpret their technical/business needs, introduce Entegris' new and continuous improvement technologies, and work cross-functionally with scientists and engineers to develop technical solutions.

What You'll Do:

  1. Align with the Sales team to build strong partnerships with your assigned customers.
  2. Be the primary interface between the Customer's technology team and Entegris' R&D and Materials Solutions teams.
  3. Identify needs and new business opportunities.
  4. Act as the technical interface for the development and adoption of Entegris products.
  5. Introduce new and improved Entegris technologies and products to customers.
  6. Address customers' technical questions and concerns diligently and expertly.
  7. Work closely with scientists and engineers to stay current on Entegris' new products.
  8. Participate in the design and execution of experiments to support customer evaluations and qualifications of Entegris products.
  9. Host technical seminars with customers.
  10. Lead and mentor other Fab Technology/CMP application engineers in North America.

What We Seek:

  • Degree in engineering, chemistry, or related field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience in chemical mechanical planarization (CMP).
  • Experience in process variation and control.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and seminars, mainly in the South Central and Southwest US regions.
  • Ability to understand Entegris' technology and products deeply.
  • Critical thinking skills to extract key messages from VOC and technical data.
  • Ability to summarize scattered technical data into compelling presentations.
  • Ability to communicate technical performance in simple, customer-understandable language.
  • Ability to assess business environments and develop technical strategies for accounts.
  • Strong passion, ownership, and determination.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, evolving environment.
  • Effective planning, prioritizing, and goal-setting skills.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Over 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience in integrated device manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of CMP polishing processes and consumables.
  • Deep understanding of IC device integration.
