Job summary

FiberTel, LLC in Springville, Utah is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to join our mobile splice team. The role involves mass fusion and ribbon splicing on high-count fiber networks, with leadership and mentorship to junior splicers.

You will work on FTTP deployments, network relocations, and residential builds while ensuring safety and quality. This is a full-time hourly position, typically 40 hours per week, on a mobile splice trailer with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on fiber optic splicing experience.
• Extensive fusion and ribbon splicing on high-count fiber.
• Ability to read fiber designs, splice matrices and engineering prints.
• Willingness to travel locally and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mass fusion and ribbon splicing on high-count fiber optic cable.
• Splice on aerial and underground fiber networks.
• Support FTTP construction projects, relocations, and residential deployments.
• Test using OTDRs and power meters; troubleshoot faults.
• Mentor and train junior splicers and coordinate with PMs.
