Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Feed Mill Manager to lead all aspects of feed mill operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and delivery of high-quality feed products. Responsibilities include procurement, scheduling, maintenance planning, budgeting, supervision, quality control, and logistics coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in feed mill, manufacturing, agricultural, or production management.
• Equivalent related work experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
• Experience with budgets, capital expenditures, and operational costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the feed manufacturing facility to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Order feed ingredients and coordinate railcar deliveries and spotting with railroad providers.
• Supervise all feed mill personnel, including drivers and production staff.
• Schedule, coordinate, and assist with maintenance activities for mill equipment.
• Prepare batch feed and oversee production processes as needed.
• Develop and manage capital budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Perform dispatch duties and coordinate feed delivery logistics when necessary.
• Implement and maintain quality control programs and operating procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supply of ingredients and materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Drive operational improvements focused on productivity and cost control.
