TITLE: Lead FAL Industrial Architect


EMPLOYER: Airbus Americas, Inc.


DUTIES: Leading the industrial system design for new final assembly lines and major upgrades. Performing technology selection mapping to develop the most cost-effective and efficient technologies to be included in the industrial concept. Driving the creation of dynamic capacity, lead-time, and resource simulations in order to identify industrial bottlenecks, buffer needs, resource needs and all other aspects concerning the industrial system ramp-up. Measuring the industrial performance and leading improvement projects. Identifying improvement opportunities, applying lean principles to deliver business value & improvements. Influencing the product design to meet industrial requirements. Defining, negotiating, and integrating manufacturing requirements in the product design.

LOCATION: Mobile, AL


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years in any job title involving experience in industrial architecture projects in the aviation industry. Prior experience must also include: 3 years of working experience in product engineering functions; 3 years of working experience within aircraft assembly line; experience using Anylogic simulation tool and Catia V6 to support streamlining of industrial process; experience with processes related to industrialization and product design; applying industrial process system including logistics, resource management, industrial assets, jigs, and tools; applying advanced Industrial and Systems Engineering
principles and practices; and working experience in Aviation and Aerospace Project Management.

Up to 5% domestic and international travel required for business meetings and development. Telework permitted up to 1 day per week.
