Job summary

TravelCenters of America, a leading network of travel centers, is seeking a Lead Facility Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems across the location. You will ensure a safe environment and keep equipment running to support travelers.

Responsibilities include coordinating external contractors, maintaining inventory, training technicians, and helping manage schedules.

Qualifications

• A dedicated individual who works well with others
• High school diploma or GED with vocational training in general maintenance and equipment repair
• Demonstrated ability in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment including tow motors, equipment and basic hand tools
• HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing certifications required
• A Plumbing or Electrical license strongly preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays

• Perform installations, inspections, repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems in all departments of the location
• Do general repairs such as painting/caulking, patching walls, security hardware, roof repairs, pavement repairs, tile and floor repairs, hanging shelves, facility lighting and landscaping
• Coordinate the work of outside contractors to ensure scope of work is being performed correctly
• Maintain appropriate inventory of material, equipment and supplies
• Train other Facility Maintenance Technicians and assist at other locations when required
• Assist in managing the schedules of the Facility Maintenance Technician team
• Coordinate, assign, and inspect work for completeness of porters and housekeeping staff
• Perform other job related duties as assigned

The Lead Facility Maintenance Technician is a key member of the team primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems in all departments of the location. Pay Range

$18.00 - 23.00 per hour - A pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.
