Job summary
GE Aerospace in Auburn, Alabama is seeking a Lead Facilities Specialist to plan and execute facility projects from concept to completion. You will supervise hourly maintenance technicians across shifts, manage budgets, and coordinate with Operations to support production.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electro-hydraulic machinery, control software, and PLCs is required, along with problem-solving and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or a high school diploma/GED.
- HVAC or facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- Proficiency with control software and PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Plan projects for facility improvements from concept to completion.
- Create and implement a preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance.
- Forecast budget for Facilities and monitor through the year.
- Supervise a team of hourly maintenance technicians across shifts.
- Coordinate facilities initiatives with Operations to support production.
- Ensure equipment/services meet quality and cost targets.
- Develop and coordinate department proposals for facilities projects.
- Be on call for facilities emergencies.
- Negotiate and review contracts with third-party providers.
