Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in the safe operation and maintenance of assigned equipment, tree trimming, beach maintenance, landscape maintenance, maintenance and repair of parks facilities or related work.
• Requires Class B with airbrakes.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises the work of assigned staff, delegates and reviews tasks.
• Supervises and participates in repairs and maintenance of municipal facilities, parks, and related properties.
• Maintains records of maintenance and repair work and creates project reports.
• Operates or supervises operation of equipment such as surf rakes, chippers, loaders, bucket trucks, graders, stump grinders, tractors, pressure washers, trailers and heavy trucks.
• Responds to questions and complaints from the public and ensures safety laws are followed.
