Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a lead facilitator to drive structured meetings, workshops, and strategy sessions for federal clients in Washington, DC. You will coordinate logistics, prepare agendas and materials, and guide discussions to surface insights while ensuring every voice is heard.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of facilitation experience, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust. Occasional travel up to 10% is required as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4 years of meeting and event facilitation experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.
  • Willing to work at client site in Washington, DC at least 3 days/week.

Job Family:Operational Effectiveness ConsultingTravel Required:Up to 10%Clearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:As a lead facilitator, you will lead structured discussions, workshops, strategy sessions, and stakeholder meetings that keep participants focused, engaged, and aligned on objectives; plan and coordinate meeting logistics; prepare clear, well‑formatted agendas and materials; guide conversations to surface insights; manage group dynamics to ensure all voices are heard; track decisions and action items; and synthesize key takeaways into concise summaries; design interactive activities, propose creative formats that boost engagement, ensure accessibility and quality of all materials, and integrate feedback and participation data to continuously improve future sessions.The ideal candidate will have:Proven experience facilitating structured meetings and events (in-person, virtual, and hybrid) that keep discussions focused, inclusive, and productive; adept at agenda planning, timekeeping, capturing outcomes, and driving follow ups.Hands on background in meeting and event logistics: scheduling recurring forums, reserving rooms/setting up virtual platforms, coordinating AV/IT, managing registration/check in, signage, and seating plans.Ability to prepare and format meeting materials—invitations, agendas, decks, minutes—using approved templates; comfortable routing drafts for executive review and clearance.Skill in action item tracking and deliverable management with status updates to staffExperience with creative event design (themes/formats/interactive components), live engagement techniques (polling, breakouts, scenario exercises), and environmental scans to surface strategic priorities.Capability to research/analyze participation and engagement data; synthesize feedback; identify trends, gaps, and improvements.Strong written and verbal communication skills to craft messaging and outreach that engages multi agency stakeholdersWhat You Will Need:Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferredBachelor's degreeFOUR (4) years of experience in meeting and event facilitationAbility to work at client site in Washington, DC at least 3 days/weekWhat Would Be Nice To Have:Experience facilitating interagency dialogues.Background coordinating executive meetings, leadership forums, and strategic events serving large audiences (100–600), including day of rehearsals and readiness reviews.The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00.
