Job summary

Hammerton in Salt Lake City is seeking a Production Manager – Welding & Fabrication to lead a team of skilled fabricators responsible for welding, grinding, and polishing custom lighting products. This leadership and operations role focuses on setting clear expectations, planning production, and driving improvements across safety, quality, and throughput.

You will collaborate with Scheduling, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Welding/Fabrication leadership experience.
• Experience leading in a low-volume/high-mix or complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and accountability skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop fabricators to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Build daily/weekly production plans to meet production schedules and on-time delivery.
• Set clear performance expectations and address issues professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate with Scheduling, Quality, Engineering to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Drive continuous improvement and 5S in the shop.
