Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Total CAD experience: 4+ years.
• 4+ years in sheet metal CAD software (prefer Autodesk Inventor).
• 2+ years nesting experience required; folding software preferred.
• Deep understanding of sheet metal behavior, grain direction, spring back and bend radii.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Fabrication CAD Technicians bridging 3D models and machinable files for CNC equipment.
• Oversee conversion of 2D blueprints and 3D models into optimized DXF/DWG flat patterns for CNC laser cutting.
• Model and review 3D parts to verify fold sequences with zero collision risks on press brakes and folding machines.
• Generate accurate BOMs and production routing instructions for the shop floor.
• Select punch and die setups during the digital design phase to match shop floor tooling.
