Job summary

Polyzen, a leading polymer materials company in Apex, NC, is seeking an Extrusion Development Engineer. You will drive extrusion projects through the product lifecycle, interfacing with business development, vendors, and clients to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

This role demands 5–7 years in extrusion, blow molding, or injection molding, with strong knowledge of ISO 13485, GMP, and GDP practices. You will mentor junior engineers and ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of extrusion, blow molding, or injection molding ops.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, GMP, GDP practices.
• Ability to translate client needs into engineering requirements.
• Experience with process development, qualifications, and capability assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple extrusion development projects across product lifecycles.
• Design scalable manufacturing processes for production environments.
• Specify tooling, fixtures, and equipment for extrusion at required scale.
• Develop and qualify testing/inspection methods for key attributes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain extrusion equipment.
• Train junior extrusion engineers or operators as SME.
• Ensure GMP, GDP, and ISO 13485 compliance in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to drive stage-gate development.
