Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is seeking an Extruder Operator Lead to supervise the night shift and support the Area Manager. You will oversee extrusion, ensure product meets specs, and maintain safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of cgmp experience, mechanical aptitude, forklift operation, and the ability to train newer operators. You’ll follow SOPs, maintain traceability, and participate in housekeeping and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cGMP environment.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand tools.
• Team player capable of training others.

Responsibilities

• Extrude quality stock to meet press production specs.
• Set up Dispersion Enhanced Systems with a screen pack and Breaker Plate.
• Load recipes and set up extruders with proper components.
• Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain line clearance forms and product traceability.
• Train new or junior operators.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Follow all safety, SOPs and housekeeping procedures.
