Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Experimental Test Pilot to operate special mission aircraft in support of DoD programs. The role involves flight planning, a small pilot team, and deployments worldwide with up to 50% travel.

The position requires prior test flight experience, high-level qualifications, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. It is based at Tulsa, OK, with extensive travel and shift flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
• Graduate of Armed Forces Test Pilot School (Full Course).
• Airline Transport Pilot Certification.
• 1,500 hours PC/PIC time, to include 100 hours as PC/PIC during engineering and/or acceptance flights listed under the functional flight category.
• Valid First-Class FAA medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a Co-Captain on G550 special mission aircraft for experimental and engineering test flights.
• Safely conduct training and operate aircraft per FAA and DCMA 8210 D requirements.
• Maintain professional standards of conduct at all times.
• Work any assigned shift, travel worldwide, and be on call with two-hour recall.
