Job summary

Telluride Gravel seeks a Lead Excavator Operator to safely and efficiently operate construction equipment including excavators and support machines on site in Telluride, CO. The role requires attention to safety, reliability, and teamwork in a dynamic work environment.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of full-time excavator experience, the ability to work around live utilities, and a commitment to quality, punctuality, and compliance with OSHA and MSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year full-time experience operating an excavator.
• Experience digging around live utilities and in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations; report issues to Foreman or Safety Manager.
• Follow signals from the pipe layer and communicate with equipment operators.
• Assist with daily tasks and project requirements as directed by the Foreman.
• May operate other equipment as needed and perform material handling duties.
