Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Lead Environmental Services Technician for the Night Shift at the Springfield, MO campus. The role focuses on maintaining environmental and infection control standards across hospital facilities, with responsibilities including cleaning, sanitation, and inter-facility coordination.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of hospitality, healthcare, or cleaning experience and are able to work nights.

Qualifications

• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain environmental and infection control standards within policies.
• Clean and maintain hospital areas in sanitary, orderly condition.
• Respond to phone, radios, pagers and coordinate communication.
• Travel between CoxHealth facilities as needed.

Job Description

The Lead Environmental Services Technician maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures. Essential duties include cleaning and maintaining areas in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling from one facility to another. Respond to and initiate communication by phone, handheld radios, pagers etc.

Education

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Required: 6 months hospitality, healthcare, or cleaning experience

• Able to work alone and after hours frequently required.
• Able to stand and walk on a continual basis required.
• Observes all safety standards and uses safety work techniques at all times.
