Job summary

Gen-X Renovations of Covington, LA is seeking an Events Manager to develop and lead an Event Department and a team of Demonstrators promoting our home improvement brand at shows across Louisiana.

You and your team will generate leads, book events, recruit/train staff, ensure attractive booths, and coordinate schedules while reporting weekly on productivity and budgets. You must work every weekend and have strong people and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Team leadership experience required.
• Customer service or B2C marketing experience required.
• Recruiting and hiring experience required.
• Must want to talk with customers and be personable.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Ability to stand for extended hours at events.
• Basic computer literacy for administrative tasks.
• Must be available to work every weekend.

Responsibilities

• Find and book new shows and events in your territory.
• Engage patrons at event booths to generate leads and appointments.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage the team of Event Demonstrators.
• Ensure booths are set up attractively and removed after events.
• Plan, coordinate, and organize schedules for events and team.
• Track and report productivity, labor, inventory, and budget weekly.
• Set goals for events, weeks, and months and achieve them.
• Maintain open communication with supervision and other departments.
