Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Serves, demonstrates, intercepts consumers, and sells products in a professional manner. Responsible for the event execution equipment in the stores. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.

Responsibilities
  1. Management and maintenance of the equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean and secured in the designated backroom area.
  2. Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events, especially in the absence of a Supervisor.
  3. Be the point person for all events in the store, assisting other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
  4. Provide leadership and knowledge to the team, assisting the Supervisor.
  5. Gain adequate product knowledge and proactively engage with consumers to promote and sell products.
  6. Assist with all responsibilities related to the demo program, including food sample preparation and service, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  7. Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station, using cleaning chemicals properly.
  8. Set up and prepare the event table appropriately.
  9. Complete all assigned work and assist with client visit preparations and audit corrections.
  10. Build rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
  11. Complete expense reports and online requirements on the same day as the event.
  12. Take digital photos of the event setup to document success stories for clients.

This role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, but the company reserves the right to adjust this based on business needs.

Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months’ related experience or training, or equivalent.
  2. Proficiency in using computers and mobile devices with internal systems and applications.
  3. Food Safety Professional Certification and a local Food Handler permit if required.
  4. Physical ability to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, lift up to 25 pounds (sometimes up to 50 pounds), push/pull carts, and prepare foods using utensils and appliances.
  5. Responsible for reporting any work-related injuries promptly.
  6. Maintain a professional appearance and grooming as per retailer requirements.
  7. English language skills; bilingual skills may be required.
Additional Information

Wages start at $16.00/hr. This is a part-time, entry-level position in management and manufacturing within the advertising services industry. The environment is retail store-based with limited travel. Supervisory responsibilities include acting as the point of contact in the absence of a supervisor.
