Rip City, home of the Portland Trail Blazers, is seeking an experienced Event Security Manager to lead security operations for all Rose Quarter events. You will safeguard attendees, staff, and assets while coordinating with Event Management, police, and vendors.

The role emphasizes leadership, team development, and the creation of event-specific safety plans, with hands-on incident reporting, risk assessment, and post-event reviews to improve future operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in event security, law enforcement, or related field.
• Proven leadership experience managing security teams in high-traffic events.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, crowd management, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of security operations for all events.
• Coordinate with Event Management Team to identify security needs for each event.
• Provide leadership to the security team during events and manage incident reports.
• Oversee vendor security and safety compliance; manage budgets for staffing.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews to capture lessons learned.
• Monitor real-time security incidents and coordinate with authorities as needed.
