This is a rare opportunity to join the dynamic marketing team for Westfield UK as the Senior Event & Experiential Lead for a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering unforgettable events and experiences across our UK centres. In this role, you will work with high-profile brands and contribute to innovative experience campaigns across a broad range of categories, including fashion, beauty, food and lifestyle.
As a key leader within the UK team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we are delivering best-in-class experiences. You will bring creative flair, staying ahead of industry trends, coupled with a deep knowledge of the events and retail landscape, and robust commercial acumen focused on achieving business goals.
Leading all events, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all key stakeholders. Your natural leadership and 'can-do' attitude are essential to ensure the seamless execution of multiple large-scale projects. You will expertly manage internal teams and suppliers to drive efficiencies and project success, always prioritising operational excellence. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work are crucial for bringing our experiential briefs to life.
Success in this role depends on your effective management and ability to lead and inspire both direct reports and wider project teams. What you will be doing…
Lead the events and experiential function for the UK region , overseeing the design, development and production of innovative event concepts that deliver global brand consistency but with strong local relevance .
Own the logistics — you will m anage all aspects of event production, including large budgets, pre-production logistics planning, vendor selection, hiring, onsite execution, as well as post-event wrap-up .
Champion and personally demonstrate best practice in creative process, event planning, budgeting setting, budget control and event delivery.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of event producers , fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture ; oversee team resourcing, workflow, and project allocation in collaboration with the Head of Marketing.
Ensure health & safety, sustainability and accessibility are integral to all production activity ; ensuring all internal and external event stakeholders deliver in line with Westfield policies and procedures.
Manage all physical and technical components of the event, including floorplan layout, venue build-out, AV production, branding, signage, AV/tech infrastructure and logistics .
Ensure all Health and Safety, Risk Management and other appropriate procedures and licences are up to date and in line with current legislation.
Stay at the forefront of new trends , event formats , vendors and brand partners to ensure all events & experiences feel fresh, culturally relevant, and best-in-class .
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including leasing , marketing, risk , and production teams, to ensure alignment, smooth logistics , and effective delivery of even ts .
What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?
You bring 8+ years of experience delivering premium and large-scale event and brand experiences, ideally within fashion, beauty, lifestyle, luxury, or culture sectors .
Your unmatched attention to detail ensures consistently high-quality and impactful event delivery.
You have e xcellent technical event management skills, including contractor and supplier management, event logistics and operations , health & safety and event sustainability.
You’re an effortless communic ator and strong project leader, with an ability to manage complex group s of stakeholders so nothing is missed and everyone is invested in the outcome
Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to develop strong internal & external relationships
Self-starting, motivated and highly personable, with a p roactive, resourceful, can-do attitude.
Calm under pressure – ability to maintain a professional, calm nature and instil a sense of order with colleagues in times of pressure while meeting deadlines
You’ve got the contacts, the instincts, and the ideas – and you’re always two steps ahead of the scene.
You’re commercially sharp – budge ting and business targets don’t scare you.
Extensive knowledge of the UK retail industry and best practice event production is a must .
A strong understanding of production & technical production is essential, including CDM legislation.
