Job summary

Dean & Barbara White Southlake YMCA in Crown Point, IN is seeking an Event Host III for part-time hours. Pay starts at $19.00 per hour and up based on experience, with Friday–Sunday availability required. The role leads events, oversees staff, and ensures excellent guest service and safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, coaching staff, managing incident reports, and maintaining program records while upholding YMCA policies and engaging with members and families.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serves as lead for events, ensuring exceptional program quality, safety, and customer experience.
• Supervises, directs, and supports Event Host I and II staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and program standards.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for parents, guardians, and participants, addressing questions and escalations professionally.
• Plans, coordinates, and executes event activities, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and safe experiences.
• Provides coaching, guidance, and real-time feedback to staff to support performance and development.
• Ensures proper staff coverage, assignments, and transitions throughout the event.
• Leads pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs with staff to ensure preparedness and continuous improvement.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance programming and elevate the member experience.
• Demonstrates professionalism and sound judgment in high-energy environments.
