Job summary

UNAVAILABLE is seeking a Senior Estimator to analyze industrial construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare labor, material, and equipment estimates for projects. The role requires advanced skills in quantity take-offs, cost data preparation, and CPM bid scheduling with loaded resources.

The candidate will coordinate with disciplines, evaluate subcontractor proposals, discuss estimates with clients, and ensure accuracy through peer reviews.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating in industrial construction
• Bachelor’s Degree in a construction-related field or equivalent industry experience
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office programs
• Experience developing estimate schedules in Primavera or similar software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review and understand bid documents published by the client
• Perform quantity take-off and price take-off
• Complete manhour estimates to determine labor requirements
• Prepare itemized material and labor lists
• Prepare CPM bid schedule with fully loaded resources
• Coordinate discipline scope determinations and evaluate subcontractor proposals
• Determine equipment needs from drawings and documents
• Interface with internal teams to support cost estimates
• Discuss estimates with clients and vendors to resolve issues
• Compute cost factors and prepare bids for management decisions
• Verify estimate completeness and conduct peer reviews
• Promote team collaboration to improve constructability and optimize costs
• Analyze projects to compare estimated versus actual costs
• Develop standard hour and cost data through studies
