The Business

Hamilton Mayer International is working in partnership with an organisation heavily involved in leading North America’s Building activities, with group revenues around the $6bn mark and circa 5,000 employees. This organisation is currently looking for a Lead Estimator for their Austin office to play a major part in their expansion plans for the region.

The Role

• The role is to sustain growth and uphold winning work in the Austin area, whilst also being on hand to support other regions where possible.
• Typical size of jobs ranges from $50K up to $250M across diverse market sectors
• Sectors include – Healthcare, Higher-Education, Multi-Family, Federal and High-Rise.
• Oversee a team of around 3-4 estimators in the development of budgets and estimates from programs through guaranteed maximum price, but experience in bid-build tenders, with a track record of winning work will be advantageous.
• Apply mathematical calculations with the use of relevant estimating software.
• Navigate and apply information contained in REVIT Models.

Key Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field
• Will have a background in project estimating across diverse sectors
• 12+ years’ experience in estimating, inclusive of relative field work
• Experience of managing a team in the Preconstruction area
• Relevant estimating tool knowledge including: WinEst, OST, SmartBid, Excel and Word.
