Job summary

RailWorks LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator in New York to prepare cost estimates for projects in the planning, design, and construction phases, and to produce bid proposals. You will lead the estimating team, review bid packages and pricing, and collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify scope and technical requirements.

A Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field and 7–10 years of estimating experience in rail or heavy construction are required.

Compensation

$130000 - $175000 / year (total compensation)

Position Summary

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.

7–10 years of estimating experience in rail or heavy construction.

Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, and labor.

Leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Works indoors, with some onsite/outdoor work

Frequently sits, stands, walks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard

May be exposed to harsh weather conditions includingvery hotand verycold weather.
