Corning Incorporated in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an Equipment Technician Lead to oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of solar panel manufacturing equipment. You will lead a maintenance team, ensure reliable operations, and partner with engineering and operations to boost equipment performance.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong electrical/mechanical/pneumatic knowledge, PLC/robotics experience, and flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, robotics, and automated manufacturing systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team in troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing solar manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and qualification of new production equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance data and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain documentation of repairs and schedules.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on maintenance techniques.
• Identify spare parts needs and coordinate with procurement for availability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
