Lead Equipment Maintenance Technician - Back End Nights (BEN)

The Equipment Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment for production lines. Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing equipment, assisting engineering with maintenance schedules, and rebuilding manufacturing equipment. The technician may also participate in safety forums, Emergency Response Teams, and station improvement teams.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Experience with high vacuum equipment, lithography tools, wet benches, or measurement equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair wafer fabrication equipment with minimal assistance.
  • Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Schedule

This position follows a compressed workweek: Back End Nights, working Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and alternating Wednesdays, from 5:30 pm to 6:00 am.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain wafer fabrication assembly and facilities equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, coordinate with outside contractors.
  • Identify preventive maintenance needs to ensure equipment stability.
  • Use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Rebuild manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Train other technicians and operators, and participate in process improvements.
  • Perform equipment modifications and provide guidance on operational procedures.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to recommend improvements.

This role involves standing, walking, handling objects, and working in a clean room environment with exposure to chemicals and hazards.
