Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers’ Wilmington District is seeking a Supervisory Interdisciplinary (Environmental Resources) to lead a diverse team within the Planning, Programs and Project Management Division. The role focuses on obtaining required permits and ensuring compliance with major environmental laws.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and specialized experience at GS-12 level related to regulatory or environmental programs, with potential for DHA-based recruitment

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and ABET accreditation
• Experience leading environmental regulatory or compliance projects
• Knowledge of CWA, CZMA, NEPA, ESA, NHPA, MMPA
• Citizenship and selective service requirements apply

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team to meet regulatory permits, approvals and certifications
• Direct multidisciplinary teams to produce Environmental Assessments and EIS
• Apply environmental laws to project deliverables for compliance
• Review environmental documents to ensure procedures are addressed
• Identify and evaluate environmental commitments and mitigation requirements
