Job summary
Maryland Environmental Service is hiring a Lead Environmental Specialist for the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. The role involves project management, technical oversight and compliance for deicing, stormwater and sanitary projects, with support for other MES environmental initiatives as needed.
The position requires field work, confining space entry and lifting up to 50 pounds, with a 24/7 emergency-essential designation for the office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology, biology, chemistry, geology or a related field with five years of environmental science, regulations, engineering or management experience.
- Strong written and oral communication and organization skills essential; field work with confined space entry and lifting 50 pounds required.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management, technical oversight and compliance for deicing, stormwater, and sanitary projects at BWI and Martin State Airports.
- Support other MES environmental projects as needed by the Technical and Environmental Services Group.
