Job summary

Gradient, a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Senior Epidemiologist in Charlottesville, VA to conduct epidemiology analyses for human health risk assessments and regulatory support. You will work independently and with toxicologists, exposure scientists, and risk assessors on complex projects in environmental, dietary, occupational, and product epidemiology.

We welcome professionals with at least 8 years of related experience, strong statistics, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience; 10+ preferred.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong statistical skills and critical evaluation of epidemiology data.
• Knowledge of regulations in food, consumer or medical products, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, etc.
• Background in conducting or contributing to systematic reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to projects on occupational health, regulatory comments, and site-specific risk assessments.
• Qualitatively and quantitatively assess exposure and health risks from chemicals and consumer products.
• Perform systematic reviews, weight-of-evidence reviews, hazard assessments, and data tables.
• Conduct literature searches and critically review epidemiology studies.
• Prepare deliverables: reports, memoranda, proposals, and agency comments.
• Manage projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
