Job summary

Kleinfelder’s Environmental team is seeking a Construction Environmental Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary environmental compliance for major transportation and municipal contracts in downtown Los Angeles. This role emphasizes project management, coordination, and independent execution to deliver high-quality results for clients and communities.

Qualified candidates will have extensive field and regulatory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff

Qualifications

• 6 years minimum of construction compliance experience
• 3–4 years of increasing project management experience on construction environmental projects
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Professional registration in California (e.g., PE) a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, budget, and monitor environmental construction projects
• Develop cost proposals and execution strategies
• Provide technical support to field staff
• Oversee subcontractors and third-party activities
• Prepare technical reports and ensure QA/QC with client/regulatory processes
• Communicate with clients and manage key relationships
• Mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects and deadlines
