Job summary

The City and County of San Francisco seeks a Chemist III to plan, coordinate, and conduct laboratory studies on water, wastewater and environmental matrices, developing methods for instrumental analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead non-routine projects, train staff in instrumentation, and report findings to management, using HPLC, GC/GC-MS, ICP-AES, ICP-MS and Atomic Absorption techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in chemistry or closely related field.
• Six years verifiable laboratory experience in instrumental analysis and methods development.
• Valid driver license.

• Develop and apply instrumental methods to determine constituents and ensure regulatory compliance.
