Job summary

Terracon in West Texas seeks an Environmental Regulatory Compliance Engineer or Scientist to lead local and regional air permitting efforts and support nationwide projects. The role requires a strong background in Title V, Permits by Rule, NSR, and emissions calculations, with client-facing leadership and marketing involvement.

The candidate should have a relevant degree, extensive experience in Texas air permitting, and excellent technical writing, analytics, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or environmental-related discipline.
• Minimum 13 years’ experience in the field; PhD preferred.
• Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Grow and expand environmental compliance services with a focus on air permitting.
• Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, and other deliverables.
• Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Understand the local and regional market.
• Develop client relationships and proposals in response to needs.
• Develop local and regional marketing strategies and support safety initiatives.
• Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions to maintain compliance.
