Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Operations Data and Digital Transformation Lead to bridge Operations and IT/DBT as we deploy Oracle Fusion at Albuquerque and Germantown. You will ensure core processes in program management, data governance, finance, supply chain, and manufacturing are optimized and integrated into the ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 8+ years of experience managing the design, development and implementation of ERP systems, solutions and products (Oracle preferred).
• 8+ years related work experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Completion of Oracle certifications/classes and APICS certifications.
• Demonstrated project management skills and expertise in project portfolio management principles.

Responsibilities

• Manages design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
• Reviews and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
• Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying & executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
• Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
• Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Demonstrates ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations and fostering business partnerships

The role of Operations Data and Digital Transformation Lead serves as the key bridge between Operations and IT/Digital Business Transformation (DBT). We are seeking a seasoned business leader to champion the operational transformation of our Albuquerque and Germantown sites as we transition to Oracle Fusion. This role is a strategic business partner who will ensure that our core processes in program management, data governance, finance, supply chain, and manufacturing are optimized and effectively integrated into the new ERP system.

The ideal candidate will bring experience from the defense or aerospace industry, with a strong understanding of government contracts, cost accounting, and full lifecycle program execution – from prototype development through full-rate manufacturing. This role requires both strategic vision and hands‑on execution to ensure the successful deployment of Oracle Fusion while maintaining operational excellence and compliance with DoD program requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• At least 8 years demonstrated experience in managing the design, development and implementation of ERP systems, solutions and products (Oracle preferred)
• 8+ years related work experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Completion of various Oracle certifications/classes and APICS certifications
• Demonstrated project management skills and expertise in project portfolio management principles

The salary range for this role is:

$101,000 - $154,000
