Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Danbury, CT is hiring a Global Thin Film Metrology Quality Engineer to implement, sustain, and improve thin-film metrology methods within Analytical Laboratories.

You will collaborate with lab, R&D, process engineering, manufacturing and supplier/customer quality teams to strengthen measurement capability and audit readiness. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field (MS/PhD preferred) and 5+ years in thin-film/metrology environments, with expertise in ISO 17025/9001,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, engineering, materials science or related field required; MS/PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own quality oversight for thin-film and coating metrology methods, measurement systems, software workflows, and data packages.
• Develop, validate, transfer, and sustain fit-for-purpose methods for film thickness, uniformity, surface morphology, roughness, composition, structure and adhesion.
• Establish measurement controls including calibration, reference standards, system suitability, control charts and uncertainty evaluation.
• Provide governance for instrument qualification, method/software changes, and new capability introductions with change-control processes.
• Review trends, excursions and data integrity; drive containment, root-cause analysis and CAPA.
• Use statistics to evaluate bias, precision, stability and measurement-system contribution to variation.
• Develop controlled procedures, reports, validation protocols, and audit-ready records.
• Support audits and communicate method capability and data limitations clearly.
• Translate product and process requirements into metrology strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Drive alignment of methods, instruments and data review across sites.
