In this role, you will work with product lines, systems engineering, applications, marketing, field teams, and customers to define scalable power architectures, reference solutions, and platform strategies for aerospace, defence, and communications systems.

You will translate customer needs into practical power trees, solution concepts, evaluation plans, reference design inputs, and product feedback. This individual contributor role requires strong power electronics and system design expertise, effective customer engagement, and the ability to connect application needs to ADI portfolio solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end power architectures for priority applications, covering conversion, distribution, protection, isolation, sequencing, telemetry, efficiency, thermal performance, EMI/EMC, reliability, and control.
  • Translate customer and market requirements into solution proposals, power trees, reference architectures, evaluation plans, trade‑off analyses, and product feedback.
  • Support architecture and application reviews for strategic opportunities, ensuring proposed solutions are practical, differentiated, manufacturable, supportable, and aligned with ADI’s portfolio direction.
  • Partner with product, systems, applications, marketing, business development, sales, field teams, and customers to identify requirements, resolve technical questions, and position ADI power solutions.
  • Create reusable technical collateral, including design guides, simulations, evaluation concepts, reference design inputs, training material, and customer presentations.
  • Capture insights from customer engagements, evaluations, competitive activity, and design‑in support to inform product planning, solution strategy, and field enablement.
  • Communicate technical findings, trade‑offs, and application impact through documentation, reviews, workshops, and presentations.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Strong understanding of power conversion, distribution, protection, isolation, thermal trade‑offs, transient response, EMI/EMC, reliability, safety, and system design constraints is mandatory.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience defining or influencing system‑level power requirements, preferably in areas such as drones, robotics, phased‑array radar, satellite communications, or related advanced platforms.
  • Background as a systems architect, power designer, or lead systems designer, with the ability to move confidently between detailed design discussions and high‑level system trade‑offs.
  • Experience with low‑voltage, high‑current power applications in mixed‑signal systems is highly valuable.
  • Strong communication skills and customer presence, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, spectrum or network analyzers, and associated software such as Python or LabVIEW.
