Job summary

Jabil in Austin, TX seeks a Lead Engineer, Reliability/Structural to lead validation and hardware design debug for servers, storage, networking, AI infrastructure, and rack-level systems. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
6+ years of experience in validation or reliability engineering.
Experience with server, storage, networking, AI infrastructure, or rack-level systems.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute environmental, structural, and reliability validation tests.
Coordinate outsourced testing with third-party labs and manage testing validation.
Lead root cause analysis using 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone methods and drive corrective actions.
Develop validation plans, strategies, and test matrices; define scope per customer/program requirements.
Support lab capability build-out, testing setup, data collection, and SOP development.
Manage external labs, RFQs, scheduling, witness testing, and report reviews; communicate results to stakeholders.
