The Region Engineer owns reliability and is responsible for providing geographically focused field support and technical guidance associated with outages, mis-operations, and equipment issues. The Region Engineer serves as the single point of contact for outage and mis-operation support associated with substation, relay, balance of station, and line equipment. This function provides the second level of technical support beyond the field crews and C&M Supervisors. The Region Engineer serves as the conduit between C&M, Veg Maintenance, Engineering, and Asset Management to provide expertise as deemed necessary. The Lead Region Engineer will provide additional leadership support for special investigations, assignments and initiatives.
Region Engineer support will interface with the following organizations, as a minimum: Craft Workforce (Maintenance and Construction);Work Management; Transmission Engineering (P&C, Substation, and Line;);ECC/DCC personnel; Asset Management (System Standards, Asset Strategy and Analytics, HRM and Fault Lab, and Data Management, );Transmission Planning; Project Management ;Generation Plant PTAC and System Engineers (Nuclear & RRE;)Account Managers for external customers (e.g., industrial, Electric Municipalities Corporations);Distribution.
