Eversource is seeking a Lead Engineer in Project Solutions to lead a diverse department within the Business and Quality Assurance organization, driving lifecycle planning for transmission and distribution projects. This role coordinates across engineering, finance, and operations to ensure timely, quality project outcomes.
The position requires eight years in engineering or technical roles, supervisory experience preferred, and willingness to travel across MA/CT/NH.

Come join our team in Project Solutions within the Business and Quality Assurance organization that supports all aspects of the Eversource project lifecycle process for electric transmission and distribution. Project Solutions supports the project development process and Eversource capital initiatives towards the end goal of improving system reliability for our customers. The Lead Engineer within Project Solutions is responsible for leading a diverse department team. This position shares accountability with peers in the strategy, development, and design of the organization’s Life Cycle Plan, a comprehensive long-term plan for the transmission/distribution system.
Responsible for supervising the review of proposed projects including infrastructure upgrades to Eversource substations, underground transmission and overhead transmission systems. These upgrades may include these categories of work:
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred. Ability to independently develop, present and execute new projects through collaborations with other departments. Familiarity with power related software is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Substation knowledge is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of eight years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry. Supervisory experience preferred.
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs are involved. Job can require traveling to operating districts and companies within and outside the state. Depending on the specific nature of the engineering role, position may require occasional to significant travel by car. A valid driver’s license is required.
