Eversource is seeking an electrical engineer to lead and support major EMS-related projects, including SE, RTCA, Loadflow, and DTS software, with responsibility for planning and researching complex problems and providing technical support to teams across transmission and distribution systems.
The role requires a BS in Electrical/Power Systems engineering (MS preferred) and at least three years of relevant experience; willingness to travel to MA/CT/NH is required and sponsorship is not offered.

Responsible for accomplishing major, complex engineering projects and for operating support and maintenance of the Energy Management System (EMS) applications, including State Estimator (SE), Real Time Contingency Analysis (RTCA), Loadflow and Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) software.
This position is also responsible for planning and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity.
Provide technical support to all groups who design, procure, install and test systems and devices that will repair, replace, improve or increase the electrical transmission and distribution system.
Role and Scope of Position: Part of a team that works on major, complex engineering projects and for operating support and maintenance of the Energy Management System (EMS) applications, including State Estimator (SE), Real Time Contingency Analysis (RTCA), Loadflow and Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) software.
This position is also responsible for planning and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity.

Technical Knowledge/Skill: Demonstrated knowledge in power systems analysis. Technical understanding of the parameters and functions of the operation of the power delivery system and power system theory Demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems. Proficiency with PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel)
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Power Systems, Engineering or related discipline. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
Experience: At least Three years related experience is required.
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Work includes calculating, comparing, editing, evaluating, interpreting, organizing, consulting, planning, designing, documenting, specifying, coordinating, implementing, presenting, etc. This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitment.

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
The annual salary range for this position is: $100,490.00-$111,660.00
Regular Number of Openings: 1 Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role.
