Job summary

PerkinElmer’s Project Farma unit seeks a Manufacturing & Tech Ops - Lead Engineer to drive complex operations programs. The role is based in Houston, TX, with willingness to travel domestically to client sites.

You will mentor engineers, translate scientific/processing requirements into actionable plans, and support GMP manufacturing transitions. Four to seven years in pharma/biotech, plus a life sciences or engineering degree, are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
4–7 years of experience in engineering or operations within pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Working knowledge of cGMP regulations (FDA 21 CFR Parts 210/211, ICH guidelines, EMA requirements).
Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead or support end‑to‑end program management for complex technical operations initiatives.
Develop integrated program plans, critical path analyses, risk registers, and resource plans.
Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams across Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
Support technology transfer activities from development into GMP manufacturing, including documentation and readiness reviews.
Coach and develop a team of technical professionals to deliver high‑quality work.
