Overview:

We seek a passionate Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive product development. You'll provide technical leadership, own projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cargo system solutions.

Position: Lead Engineer (P2) – Mechanical Design

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interpret Design requirements and apply appropriate methodologies to execute designs.
  • Develop design concepts and create detailed CAD models.
  • Prepare Engineering documentation including engineering drawings, test procedures & reports.
  • Select materials, standard components and manufacturing process for new designs.
  • Manage engineering change request and Order.
  • Conduct tolerance stackup analysis and apply GD&T principles.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and maintain clear project communications.
  • Design and develop test fixtures.
  • Work with production teams to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with global teams for seamless project execution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in design & development of Mechanical Components preferably in aerospace domain.
  • Qualification:B.E in Mechanical Engineering/Master’s degree in Mechanical design preferred

Skills:

  • CAD Expertise:

Proficient in Siemens NX, Teamcenter PLM

  • Mechanical Engineering Knowledge:

Strong understanding of solid mechanics, loading conditions, failure mechanisms, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.

  • Materials & Manufacturing:

Knowledge of aerospace-grade materials, manufacturing processes Product Lifecycle:

PLM tools (Teamcenter preferred), Engineering change management,

  • Project Ownership & Collaboration:

Ability to lead projects independently, communication and coordination skills across local and global teams.
