A leading company in the energy sector is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee complex projects and coordinate engineering teams. The role focuses on enhancing NYPA's portfolio, delivering major transmission projects, and ensuring adherence to high standards for project execution. This pivotal position is ideal for a collaborative leader with extensive technical and project management expertise in the energy sector.
The role of the Lead Engineer supports NYPA's VISION2030 to expand NYPA's portfolio of assets, deliver major transmission projects, enhance hydropower value and decarbonize the electric grid. The Lead Engineer is a team oriented individual who is experienced, focused and organized. Through the planning, design and construction process the Lead Engineer guides the engineering team to the successful completion of projects. Projects include major multidisciplined projects, transmission interconnect projects and infrastructure projects integral to NYPA's growing portfolio of assets located throughout the State of New York. The Lead Engineer collaborates, communicates and coordinates with all stakeholders to deliver design deliverables and project scopes on time and within budget. As a central figure in the Project Delivery group, the Lead Engineer champions NYPA's procedures, processes and standards across disciplines and business units.

The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates' relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
