Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Green Manufacturing – Lead Engineer to advance energy and sustainability across North American plants, leading optimization projects and embedding decarbonization into standards.

You will partner with facility teams to assess performance, develop roadmaps, secure funding, and scale innovative technologies, enabling Bridgestone’s pathway to carbon-neutral manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing, energy, utilities, environmental engineering, sustainability, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively across functions and manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and benchmark environmental performance metrics including energy cost, energy efficiency, CO2, water, waste.
• Develop and integrate utility performance data systems for reporting and analytics.
• Conduct plant assessments to identify conservation, optimization, and emissions opportunities.
• Manage projects with scoping, business cases, design, planning, budgets, and schedules.
• Validate project performance, energy savings, and emissions reductions using established methods.
• Contribute to engineering and sustainability strategy to align resources with objectives.
• Manage technology evaluations, pilot programs, and scaling of green manufacturing tech.
• Participate in design reviews to embed sustainability and resource efficiency in design DNA.
• Coordinate with procurement on budgeting and power contracts for accurate budgeting.
• Maintain standards, tools, and best practices for Green Manufacturing programs.
• Support continuous improvement and environmental stewardship.
