Job summary

AccessIT Group is seeking a Lead Engineer to join our security team in the United States. You will lead client engagements, design security architectures, and oversee security platform implementations across networks and cloud environments.

Responsibilities And Duties

The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing and delivering client engagements, assisting Sales with identifying and positioning product and service opportunities with clients, and assisting clients with determining enterprise infrastructure needs.

  • Scope projects and distribute assignments as appropriate.
  • Perform a variety of client facing consulting engagements within mid and large organizations.
  • Design and develop security architectures for client technology environments, based on client business requirements.
  • Design and implement network and cloud architectures and designs that will allow security requirements to be met with a minimal degree of risk to clients and with appropriate security controls present.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and migration of enterprise security platforms across SSE, next-generation firewall, and endpoint domains - including Netskope (SWG, CASB, ZTNA), Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, Prisma), and CrowdStrike (Falcon EDR/XDR) - from initial architecture through production cutover and knowledge transfer.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for technologies related to information and system protection.
  • Facilitate the understanding and shaping of the end-to-end technology security strategy and architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud and infrastructure security technologies and solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of proposed security technologies to client business and security objectives.
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise within assigned discipline ranging from security fundamentals to current technologies.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders to effectively convey requirements of technical and program level solutions.
Required Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other related degree or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • CISSP, CCSP, GIAC or Technical Certifications desired.
Required Skills
  • Possess a firm understanding of the offerings within the organization.
  • Have sufficient technical and strategic information security, compliance and governance knowledge and experience to conduct complex security engagements.
  • Hands-on implementation experience with one or more leading security platforms such as Netskope, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike, including deployment, policy design, and integration into existing client environments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex, sensitive or contentious information to large groups of technicians, specialists and senior managers.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and deliver oral presentations to clients regarding conclusions and cost-effective recommended solutions based on specialized professional expertise.
  • Project planning and implementation skills.
  • Ability to work through difficult and dynamic situations successfully.
  • Self-motivation and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision, as well as part of a team.
