Aviation Personnel is seeking a Lead Engine Technician located in Opa-Locka, FL. This position requires qualified candidates to have significant experience in aircraft turbine engine maintenance, including inspection and repair.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8+) years aircraft turbine engine line or shop maintenance experience.
• At least two (2) years’ experience on corporate jet aircraft.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and guidelines.

Job Description & Requirements

• Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
• Inspect engines and/or APU's, components and associated aircraft systems and components for damage, defects, corrosion or other wear to ensure airworthiness in accordance with appropriate maintenance manuals.
• Interpret discrepancies or maintenance logs (written or verbal) to understand history and nature of issue, to troubleshoot and identify required next steps to return to service and or airworthy condition.
• Recommend replacement, repair or modification of aircraft engines/APU's based on inspection.
• Perform installation, removal or modifications of turbine engines/APU's, systems or components, following drawings, schematics, engineering orders and technical publications.
• Perform repairs on worn, defective or damaged parts or components (e.g., damaged gaskets, lines and couplings), using hand tools, gauges and testing equipment.
• Research, read and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs or other work activities.

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
• A minimum of eight (8+) years aircraft turbine engine line or shop maintenance or substantiated equivalent experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience on corporate jet aircraft.
• Proficient in completing engine R&R's, borescopes and written reports.
