Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies in Irvine, CA is seeking an Energy Management Systems Engineer to lead HV/LV energy, charging, and battery management features. You will architect, design and implement vehicle systems, collaborating with SW, HW, data, and UX experts to deliver robust energy solutions.

You will define requirements, drive system decomposition, and guide cross-functional teams through development milestones to bring features to life.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety-critical systems requirement management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead decomposition of low voltage system requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Drive low voltage power system implementation from ideation to release.
• Support vehicle architecture through trade studies and validation.
• Develop and document feature-level to component-level requirements.
• Create test requirements for 12V battery and LV system characterization.
• Assist integration activities including board bring-up and HIL testing.
• Coordinate system delivery and milestones.
• Collaborate on DVP&R testing across SIL/HIL/Component/Vehicle.
