About the Position

The Lead Energy Market Analyst, part of the Americas – Data and Insights team, will support growth in North America by identifying customer use cases, shaping strategies, and providing thought leadership. They will be a subject matter expert, understanding customer challenges, proposing solutions, and developing products using Energy Exemplar tools and datasets.

The role requires expertise in energy market fundamentals and modeling, including building and overseeing energy market models using PLEXOS. Candidates should have strong modeling skills, experience with nodal power flow, customer engagement abilities, and a proactive mindset.

• Hands-on experience with modeling in ISOs like ERCOT
• Knowledge of nodal power flow, LMPs, congestion, contingencies, LODF
• Self-starter, able to work independently
• 7+ years in energy modeling and power market analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience creating and analyzing energy data sets
• Knowledge of production cost market modeling
• Experience with nodal market modeling
• Background in market operations, project development, trading, or utility planning is a plus
• Familiarity with tools like PLEXOS, Aurora, PROMOD, PSO, MarketAnalytics, PROSYM
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI; Python is a plus
