Job summary

Gastro Health is seeking a full-time Endoscopy RN Lead for our outpatient endoscopy center in Reston, VA. You will perform direct patient care during endoscopic procedures, prep patients, monitor vitals, and ensure a sterile environment while collaborating with the healthcare team to educate patients and document procedures.

The role requires Virginia RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of RN experience, with opportunities to mentor staff and participate in accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia RN license (required).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (required).
• BLS and ACLS certification (required).
• Recovery room experience (preferred).
• IV skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians to provide direct patient care for colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures.
• Complete admission assessments.
• Monitor patients receiving IV moderate sedation.
• Oversee and participate in the preparation and flow of the procedure room.
• Prepare for discharging patients.
• Provide post-anesthesia care.
• Train and mentor other staff.
• Maintain and prepare for AAAHC accreditation.
• Manage staffing schedules.
• Monitor inventory and stock.
