Job summary

Valley Health is seeking an RN II for the Endoscopy department. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care within the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while coordinating patient teaching and safety initiatives.

You will lead, mentor, and collaborate with the health team to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role requires RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility, BLS certification, and a BSN being preferred.

Qualifications

• RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Virginia/West Virginia RN licensure or eligibility (NLC multi-state option).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Advancement to RN II involves hours/performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate.
• Provide patient education and teach–back to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and time management.
• Promote quality/safety initiatives and teamwork among health staff.
• Possess leadership responsibilities including Charge Nurse duties and unit initiatives.
